This region is comprised of all four Atlantic provinces with a total population of over 2.2 million; Newfoundland and Labrador - 500,000; Prince Edward Island - 130,000; Nova Scotia - 900,000 and New Brunswick - 700,000. The primary industries include agriculture, fishing, mining, service and tourism. In 2010, we developed a relationship with a donor which resulted in receiving $60,000 for liver research which enabled the region to come within budget.
Fundraising events that occur in the region include Spring for Daisies, Annual Golf Tournament, local memorial walks, Masquerade Ball, Give’r for Liver and numerous events organized by volunteers.
