Events and Campaigns

In 2019, our national events raised more than $1 million dollars toward our goals of supporting life-saving research and educational programs for the millions of Canadians affected by liver disease.

Our two signature events, LIVERight Gala and STROLL For LIVER, always bring excitement and much-needed funds to support our mission of bringing liver research to life for all Canadians. We are happy to say that these two events and many others are going forward in 2020! The current public health situation may require us to do things a little differently, but it won’t stop us!

For more information, email Debralee at debralee@liver.ca or Kari at kfurnell@liver.ca, or you can call (403) 276-3390 or (toll-free) 1-(888)557-5516.

Living With Liver Disease

Watch for more information soon to follow on our “Virtual” Living With Liver Disease Sessions set to take place in early in 2021. It’s like our Health Forums, just a little different to keep you safe.

Join the Canadian Liver Foundation – Alberta region’s marathon and half marathon program dedicated to raising funds for liver health research, education and awareness programs. It is an opportunity to challenge yourself and experience the exhilaration of crossing the finish line. You will not only be completing a personal goal, but you will have contributed to the ultimate goal of a “world without liver disease.”

Due to COVID-19, we have had to re-vamp our Give’r for Liver destinations for 2020/2021. Watch for exciting updates. Please contact Debralee at debralee@liver.ca for further information as it becomes available.

Every year, hundreds of Canadians rally together and join the Stroll for Liver. We do this to help raise awareness and vital funds to propel life-changing research forward. We do this to help find cures and better treatment options for the people who need help right now. And we do this to make sure that anybody living with liver disease in Canada is able to access the support they deserve.

But this year we’re doing this a little differently. because this year, it’s a different kind of Stroll.

The world has changed. So rather than gather in-person this year, we’re inviting everybody to Stroll their own way. Register as an individual or as a team today, and then, on August 30th, join us from your neighbourhood, your backyard, your living room, or a local park.

There will be many more exciting details coming soon, but don’t let that stop you from signing up now!

Join us at Fox Hollow Golf Course throughout the week of September 6-13, 2020.

Pick your tee time from the available time slots throughout the week, bring your foursome out for a fun day of golf, and send us a photo of your scorecard to be eligible for great prizes!

For sponsorship opportunities, registration, or for more information, please contact Debralee at debralee@liver.ca or Kari at kfurnell@liver.ca, or call (403) 276-3390 or (toll-free)1-(888)557-5516.
