Today is National Caregiver Day, a day to celebrate all of the people who help others manage their health. As you know, when somebody is diagnosed with a disease, it’s not just that one person whose life changes; their loved ones are also greatly affected.

Meet Maria: a 53-year-old nurse living in Brampton with her husband and fourteen-year-old son who love spending time together at their seasonal trailer in the summertime. Maria graduated from University of Toronto with her nursing degree and has worked predominantly in public health for the last twenty-four years
