This time of year always brings nostalgia to the changes we’re seeing around us. Small changes, like festive lights flickering on at your neighbour’s house while the sun sets earlier and earlier. The changes in temperature for your morning walks that require a little extra layering and often a toque and mittens. The buzz of holiday traffic that echoes the beginning of a bustle that morphs into the quiet of the holiday itself.
All of these and much more, signal one thing – the holiday season is here. And like many, we’re excited for the time of year that is meant to slow down and bring joy with loved ones.
Since a slower pace can involve a little luxurious eating and drinking, we want to bring you our Liver-Friendly Festive Food Guide; a three-part recipe blog series with recipes that are liver-friendly, fun, delicious, and holiday themed.
This PomeCRANate Ginger Orange Spritz recipe is refreshing with the perfect blend of bitter and sweet, a balance of two flavours perfected with a spritz. When considering the liver, we know that when drinking excessively, either through binge drinking or by having multiple drinks consistently, you’re making your liver work overtime. For those living with liver disease, no alcohol is the best chance at reducing your risk of chronic liver disease. We wanted to give you a recipe for the perfect holiday themed mocktail that has refreshing flavour and festive celebration. If you make this recipe, let us know what you think and tag us on socials with a photo!
